Renault Megane Sedan best-seller in market up 14.5% – Best Selling Cars Blog

The Renault Megane Sedan is the most popular car in Turkiye in July.

New light vehicle sales in Turkiye rally back up 14.5% year-on-year in July to 107,718 units, the 2nd biggest July result below the 112,459 units reached in 2023. Through July, volumes are up 6.5% to a new record 715,695 units. Renault (+43%) surges ahead to confirm it is the new favourite of Turkish customers, distancing a struggling Fiat (-8.2%). Ford advances 20.4% to #3, a ranking it now also holds year-to-date, passing Volkswagen (-8.3%). The next 8 carmakers all beat the market. Toyota (+60%) is back up to #5, followed by Peugeot (+15.5%), Opel (+23.6%), Citroen (+33.5%) and Hyundai (+17.5%). But the best improvements are delivered by Tesla (+1020.5%) at #10 and BYD (+1509.8%) at #11.

Model-wise (Passenger Cars only), the Renault Megane Sedan (+133.8%), still produced locally as opposed to Western Europe where it has been discontinued, tops the charts outright for the first time since we restarted monthly coverage of this market back in October 2023. The Tesla Model Y (+1020.5%) is knocked down to a still outstanding 2nd place and now ranks #7 year-to-date vs. #26 over the Full Year 2024. The Fiat Egea Sedan (-19.2%) rounds out the podium above the YTD leader, the Renault Clio (+25.4%). The BYD Seal U lodges another excellent month at #5, followed by the local Togg T10X (+121.7%) and the Toyota Corolla Sedan and Estate (+39%). Notice also the Ford Focus Sedan and Estate (+62.2%) back inside the Top 10 at #10.
